On August 20 (Tuesday), Ambassador Ham Sang-wook invited the ambassadors of Guatemala, the Dominican Republic, Uruguay, Colombia, and Paraguay to a luncheon at his residence. The gathering was held in anticipation of the IAEA Board of Governors Meeting and General Conference in September. During the luncheon, attendees exchanged views on major issues, including North Korea's nuclear program.
Additionally, the ambassadors expressed significant interest in Korea's history of nuclear power development, nuclear power plant exports, and trends in Small Modular Reactor (SMR) development. They also conveyed their interest and expectations for nuclear and scientific-technological cooperation with Korea.
